How You Can Help

Opportunities to Serve

Trinity House Catholic Worker provides opportunities for people who wish to use their God-given talents in the service of others. For that reason, we welcome everyone and discriminate against no one. We particularly welcome people who are dedicated to social and environmental justice and peace.

Support the Daily Work of Trinity House

We are totally dependent on the services of our full-time volunteer staff and other volunteers…just like you. We receive no regular funding from any organization or agency and depend, instead, on donations and grants to remain financially viable. We particularly need regular financial donations to cover the cost of utilities (approximately $500-$600 per month), our overall monthly budget (approximately $1,500 per month), and the various regular needs that arise form owning and operating a home that is also “home” to those in need.

We have no vehicle and so are dependent on the goodwill of volunteers to run errands for staff members or take us to appointments or events.

Our house is in constant need of repair, renovation, and maintenance. We appreciate any donation of materials or handy-person services. We will be developing a permaculture garden to enable us to provide own-grown organic vegetables for our meals. Donations of compost, plants, and fruit trees are appreciated – also garden labor and expertise.

We have a dedicated team of cooks who provide one evening meal a month for staff and residents (about 10-12 people). The beautiful thing is that the food you provide also helps us provide warm meals to “the strangers” who come to our door every day for sustenance and for community. Please contact us if you would like to provide one meal each month.

And the team of food distribution volunteers is always looking for extra help – either Saturday or Sunday mornings.
